After one of these trips, Toussaint developed a fascination for panthers and decided to include this splendid animal in some of her creations. In fact, she herself was called La Panthère, due to her charismatic personality and dramatic style. The panther has become a symbol of the brand, and the most celebrated Cartier pieces of all time featured the sleek feline.
