The brand defines Dior Chromic as “avant-garde femininity” and we couldn’t agree more. These shades are inspired by the Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 fashion show, where Raf Simons presented his pre-fall collection for this year. He explained that part of his inspiration came from the free way of dressing in certain areas of Tokyo, so maybe the futuristic flair of these sunnies comes from boroughs like Shibuya or Shinjuku.
The temples in matt acetate combine perfectly with the metallic front and lenses as well as with the “pantos” shape. This name comes from the word pantoscopic, which means “wide view” or “seeing everything”. It refers to a particular shape that was very popular during the 1950s and 1960s: round/oval with a high hinge. The front of Dior Chromic is created from very fine gold-tone metal, underlined with metal lens rims.
These lenses guarantee 100% UV protection and you can choose between gold-blue, and silver-white models.
