Bottega Veneta History

Bottega Veneta boutique

Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro. The name of the company was born from the "Venetian Shop" in Italian. The brand's major focus was on production of artisanal leather goods. A distinctive element of the company is the design of the leather weave, called Intrecciato. This very elemnt was used on the exterior part of Bottega Veneta products, and became closely associated with the brand. Thus, from Intrecciato Bottega Veneta's evolution has started. Nowadays it continues to be one of the most recognizable brand's elements.

By the early 1980s, Bottega Veneta was a favorite of the international jet set, and among brand's clients were such big names as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the empress Farah Pahlavi.

Bottega Veneta Sunglasses

Classicism and modernity, discretion and quality - all these concepts have merged into one and characterise the unique style of Bottega Veneta sunglasses. A style that keeps up with the times, while adhering to classic principles and forms. Thus, this SS'20 collection of Bottega Veneta sunglasses is described as experiment between sharp cuts and iconic ribbon signatures, while metallic effects express the tension between versatility and distinction.
