What does Rockabilly mean?

You can see and feel the Rockabilly Chic in Chanel Eyewear FW'18 Collection but was does this word mean? Rockabilly is one of the first styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950s in the United States, the South part mostly. The term "rockabilly" itself is a portmanteau of "rock" (from "rock 'n' roll") and "hillbilly".

Luna Bijl is Rockabilly Chic in Chanel Eyewear FW'18

Chanel Eyewear found its inspiration for a new fall-winter 2018 campaign in a rockabilly style. Dutch beauty muse Luna Bijl was captured by Karl Lagerfeld posing in the back of a convertible car wearing a pompadour inspired hairstyle accompanied by colorful scarves. Sporting jeans as well as Chanel’s signature black-and-white cardigans, Luna brings rockabilly shade to each shot.
