About DITA

DITA was founded in 1995 in Los Angeles by Jeff Solorio and John Juniper. The idea was to design modern eyewear to define it by its look rather than its logo. Thus, each DITA frame is handmade in Japan by renowned craftsmen. Moreover, they use the highest-quality materials, like the finest acetate, titanium, and gold.

Even though you can’t literally see the teams of designers, research and development, or the number of months it took to make a pair of DITA frames, you will always feel its presence when you hold it in your hands. DITA’s design and manufacturing standards are the benchmarks by which all other luxury eyewear brands.

Over 20 years already DITA’s expertise is unparalleled, earning a coveted reputation as a true leader in optical innovation.

DITA had the unique pleasure of serving the world’s most discerning clientele. Thus, they challenged the old guard, forging singular relationships within culture, style, sport, and entertainment.

DITA Narcissus conception

NARCISSUS is the the lively companion to the hit frame CREATURE. The model probes the complicated interplay of two 1980s cultural phenomena that continue to reverberate in contemporary society.

The embrace of angular, directional silhouettes in fashion and the rapid shift from analog to digital technology; and the bold, muscular proportions of 80s-era womenswear and accessories—silhouettes that tinkers with traditional concepts of power and subverted gender roles.

Modern Revival of DITA

This modern revival of DITA classic demonstrates brand's dedication to perfect design and innovative materials such as combination of titanium and acetate frame, exposed monofilament on inner nose bridge and lens mounted inside the titanium structure, encased in acetate.

Oversized frame of Narcissus goes back to the muscular proportions of 80-s-era but designed with the contemporary accents.
