The 902 TARGA model by Cazal is a masterful piece with a long history, it was released in 1985-1987 and went highly recognized after it was featured on the character Mr.Igoe played by Vernon Wells in the 1987 classic film Innerspace. Since then the Targa model has been appreciated by collectors over the years. Totally genuine vintage look makes it timeless classical sunglasses with softly curved square-shaped lenses.
Dita eyewear brand has been known to support Cazal standards in design and quality and in 2008 they collaborated to create an iconic version of the Cazal 902 Targa model. Cazal x DITA 902 version was produced in four colorways and limited to 1500 pieces. Now this collaboration can be found in private collections only.
Cazal has re-edited the classical version of the 902 TARGA model and you can buy it in our store now. It goes in two colors – color 097 with gold frame and brown gradient lenses and 049 with a black frame and brown gradient lenses.
Another Cazal model that is highly desired among eyewear collectors is Cazal 968. It has become famously known after been worn by Al Pacino in the American gangster film Donnie Brasco. The limited-edition in 100 Gold color is numbered in 699 items only and each piece has a number engraving on the temple. The galvanic plating with palladium and 24-carat gold makes this frame a precious piece of jewelry.
